Poker is a game of chance. The goal of the game is to win by betting until all of the other players drop out. In the case of a tie, the player with the highest unmatched card wins.<\/p>\n
To play Poker, you will need chips. These usually come in white, blue, green, or black colors. Depending on the style of the game, cards will be dealt face up or face down.<\/p>\n
Before the cards are dealt, players must make a bet. Bets can range from a blind to an ante. Usually, the second blind is a double of the first blind. For example, if you bet $10, the pot is now $110.<\/p>\n
Players can also discard up to three of their cards. If all five of the players in the hand have discarded, the remaining player is the winner. When all but one of the players have discarded, the player with the best hand collects the pot.<\/p>\n
Once the cards are dealt, players can choose to either call or raise. A “call” is when the player adds to the stake, which is in front of them. After a few raises, the stake becomes too large.<\/p>\n
Acting out of turn can ruin your entire hand. Also, chatting with other players can distract you from the action. Don’t try to tell others what you want them to do.<\/p>\n
